With Every Passing Moment Album Art
TimeXHeist // With Every Passing Moment

Label // Indecision Records

4 out of 5 high fives

If there was any question if this is a straight edge band that answer is firmly established within the first 30 seconds of the new album, "With Every Passing Moment". Hailing from Denver Colorado, TimeXHeist (the "X" is silent, as vocalist Mark Frandsen tells me) ensures that the future of authentic hardcore music is safe for the foreseeable future.

"With Every Passing Moment" opens with a sultry intro, layered with smooth bass lines, hazy cymbals and absolutely no clue that you are about to be confronted with an onslaught of blistering speed and gang vocals.

TimeXHeist deliver a tight, energetic, and sincere 7 songs. Sincerity and heard are up front features on this album. Accompanied by melodic guitars, up beat two step parts, and some very creative and tasty baselines, specifically on the track, "The Great Escape". If breakdowns happen to be your thing, the track, "Never Go It Alone" should be the number one track to dial up.

Lyrically TimeXHeist does not contain what you may come to expect from a straight edge band. There is no overt SXE preachy lifestyle message. Rather, songs like "Beyond Boundaries" and "Slient Tragedies addresses pushing past fear, combating doubt, and staying focused, and taking control of your life.

"With Every Passing Moment" gets 4 out of 5 high-fives, is a great album, however I would love to see this group explore more of the sound is found on the first 30 seconds. Don't sleep on TimeXHeist, either in album form or seeing live. I can only imagine that seeing this quartet live is an absolute blast.

"Keep your eyes on the future And leave the past behind Just keep on telling yourself THIS IS MY TIME "
